EXTREMADURA -Autonomous community of Spain

Here stands out the most for me personally, as visiting here was yes hard to get too, however its the home of some of the finest ham Spain has to offer.

also northern Extremadura is now the home of Pimenton (Paprika) a really fine spice and can go with anything.

To get here, I would probably recommend flying to Madrid and renting a car to drive south westwards via the A5 as this would probably be the easiest option for you. however this all depends on where you're coming to Spain from and what best for you.

Staying in Spain imageStaying in Spain image
Finding the perfect accommodation can sometimes be a chore, however we do only look for the best and we take ratings in to consideration a lot. There are a couple of different ways to stay in Spain
My main recommendation is a Hostel something that I stay in no matter where I go in Spain and I couldn't recommend it enough. It’s like a home from home with all the utilities and socialising you could Possibly need or imagine. Hostels also come with great pub crawls if that's your thing too.

My list of Hostels I have personally stayed in are:
Way Hostel & Cats Hostel - Madrid
The River Hostel - Valencia
Oasis Hostel - Malaga and Seville
Boxto Gallery - Bilbao
Ideal Hostel & Amistat Beach Hostel & Be Dream Hostel - Barcelona

Now I would recommend all of the above they have been booked through either www.booking.co.uk or www.hostelworld.com

Festivals and celebrations of Spain

Below is a table of the main events that happen in Spain throughout the year, to some of which I have participated in and I must admit the Spanish really know how to have a Fiesta and sometimes I celebrate the festivals here in the UK.

I hope when you read this you are inspired to try something new and join in on one of these, you will not be disappointed!

Interview with Javi Fontalva – Teacher from Malaga

What makes Spain a great place to live in?
After living in many countries such as France Brazil Portugal and I have never felt at home like do specifically in southern Spain. The quality of life is great from the safety to the people that live here who are very friendly. Not to mention the weather that is fantastic all year round and the food here is great and affordable.
Do you have any recommendations on where to visit whilst in Spain?
Well with me being based in Malaga I would definitely recommend Malaga as one of the nicest places, due to its lovely sea side and great attractions, Cadiz is also on my list of places to see down here In the south.
In my region we can go to the tourist places such as Marbella and Torremolinos or nice quiet rural villages.
If museums are of interest too you then the best cities to visit would be Madrid, Barcelona and here in Malaga.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Besides from being a teacher that teaches English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. In my down time I like to go down to the beach for a walk, sometimes go to the gym, going for tapas is a popular hobby here in Spain. The most important thing to do in my spare time is to be with my Wife and Children.
