Madrid

Madrid, the capital city of Spain home to the most fascinating tourist attractions and of course the football teams Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid which is where the El Clasico comes from. I myself have been to this city many of times and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of going.

The weather in Madrid is fantastic in the summer it can reach figures in the region of 35+ degrees which in the mountains can become very humid, however in its winter months it can reach as low as 14 degrees which still if your from the United Kingdom is not to bad.

This brings me on to what to do in Madrid and to be honest where to start with this. I will list a few attractions that you can go and see or do in Madrid.

  • Plaza Mayor - Madrid's Main Square.
  • The Bear in a Strawberry tree - An iconic symbol of Madrid
  • Royal Palace of Madrid - Palace, armoury and gardens.
  • Mercado de San Miguel - Vibrant and stylish glass indoor market.
  • Santiago Bernabéu Stadium - Home to Real Madrid
  • Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas - Home of the much loved Spanish bull fighting
  • Wanda Metropolitano Stadium - Home to Atletico Madrid and the newest stadium in Madrid.
All of the above attractions are just a small handful of what Madrid has to offer, however the rest can be left for you all to explore and maybe let me know if you find some hidden gems through the “contact me” page.
